All of us are born with a certain amount of melanin that oxidises to give our skin colour. However, excessive melanin is formed when we expose our skin to UV rays. This process is activated by an enzyme called Tyrosinase.
 
Whitening ingredients such as kojic acid and arbutin reduce the activity of Tyrosinase to reduce dark spots. In contrast, Golden Yeast works even deeper.
